Training Seminars
Participation in school life is not a practice run for real life – it is the very stuff real life is made of. Democracy occurs at the level of our daily interactions, the discussions we have and the way we listen to each other, not just on those occasions when we pay attention to the high profile politics. This is why the decisions students or adults engage with every day matter. Second Strike supports people, particularly students, to involve themselves in the decision making that effects them with dexterity and confidence.
The centre piece of Second Strike’s training approach is tailor-made training seminars. We pride ourselves on writing every single program we deliver from scratch to suit the needs of the individuals attending our sessions.
You can bring your students to us if you’re a Melbourne school, or we can come to you and run the training day at your school. We have trainers in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra who have all had experience as student leaders when they were students and have all been trained to deliver programs by the Director, David Mould.
Second Strike also runs some very exciting events, professional development for teachers and a range of professional facilitation services for networks and committees to get you functioning at your peak.
